1. Hypnotherapy is not medical treatment
Hypnotherapy is an approach that works with attention, imagination, and suggestion. It is not medicine, psychiatry, or psychological treatment, and no claims are made that it is a substitute for care from a qualified doctor.
We do not diagnose conditions, we do not prescribe, and we do not treat disease.
2. Do not stop or change medical treatment
Never stop, reduce, or alter prescribed medication, and never discontinue medical or psychiatric treatment, on the strength of anything discussed in a session or read on this website. Those decisions belong to the doctor who prescribed the treatment.
If you are under medical or psychiatric care, we encourage you to tell your treating clinician that you are working with us.
3. Results vary
People respond to hypnotherapy differently. The number of sessions needed, the pace of change, and the outcome all vary between individuals. Nothing on this website is a promise or guarantee of any particular result.
4. Case examples and client accounts
Any client accounts, outcomes, or examples described on this site reflect the experience of the individuals concerned. They are not a prediction of what will happen for you and should not be read as typical.
5. When hypnotherapy may not be suitable
Hypnotherapy is not appropriate for everyone. It may be unsuitable, or require medical clearance first, where there is a diagnosis of psychosis, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder in an acute phase, a dissociative disorder, or epilepsy, and in some other circumstances.
Tell us about any such diagnosis before booking. We may ask you to obtain your doctor's agreement before we begin, or we may decline the work and suggest a more suitable route.
6. This is not an emergency service
We work by appointment and are not available for urgent or crisis support. If you are in crisis, or you are worried about your immediate safety or someone else's, contact your doctor or your local emergency services now. In India, the national mental health helpline Tele-MANAS is available on 14416.
7. Website content
The articles, pages, and other material on this site are provided for general information. They are not personal advice, they are not a consultation, and reading them does not create a client relationship. Do not rely on them in place of professional guidance for your own situation.
8. Credentials
Srikanth Srinivasan holds certification in clinical hypnotherapy and holds membership of professional hypnotherapy bodies. These are professional certifications and memberships in hypnotherapy. They are not medical, psychiatric, or psychological licensure, and should not be understood as such.
